The Assassins for God

The revolutions are over, but the secret war has just begun

The Long and Secret War, Book 1

Franklin Cavanaugh was born to devoutly religious parents and joins the clergy after graduation. He is sent to Paris and learns that he is an Elite, a variant of homo sapiens who live over 300 years, and was chosen to attend a special training school for assassins.

He reluctantly accepts the assignment, learning all the ways a well-trained assassin can kill someone. However, he secretly betrays the Church of Eternal Life and joins the Society of Secular Men, a hidden resistance that seeks to tear down the Church and establish religious freedom.

The fight to the death begins between the Church and the Society, with Franklin leading the Society in their struggle for freedom. Ultimately, failure means death for them all and continued enslavement of Normal humans in support of an entrenched and all-powerful Elite.

The Assassins for God

Carefully crafted, The Assassins for God explores the depths and extremes to which the privileged few will resort in order to retain exclusive power over the many, using institutionalized fear, intimidation, dogma, and misinformation.

The Mind Behind the Eye

Here is story telling with a vengeance . . . a rich and eventful tale…liberated, no-taboo approach so sorely needed before the prudery was zapped…when the extraordinary and/or unique comes along, as it does in this book…makes you regret that there is not more.
